history
thebreadline.org began in the 1850's with the opening of the first internet company, Trail TeQ, by phinias w. jackaroob (seen here). unfortunatly for phinias, the internet was not invented for another 140 years, and the company soon went bankrupt and phinias was stranded in the yukon a poor and broken man. after about 3 years on the cold, cruel streets, phinias stumbed across the frozen berring straight in a malnurished daze. now in russia, phinias began to notice the concept of the breadline for feeding the poor and quickly joined in to get his share of food (although to be honest, he first thought that all the starving russians were lining up for aerosmith tickets... ever the visionary). as he regained his health, phinias established a successful toe cleaning business in siberia and stayed there until the end of his days. yet phinias never forgot his internet dream or the breadline that saved him. in his last journal entry, phinias wrote, "i pray that one day someone will find a way to combine the internet and the breadline to help people all over the world. i also pray that someone invents squeeze-cheese." it is to fulfill this prayer that we exist today... except for the cheese part... and that thing about helping people... and really we're just using the name breadline, not the concept... hey, quit being so critial of us...

today
